Stem cell can be collected from peripheral blood and adipose ( fat) tissue. Adipose tissues have more stem cells but less growth factors; while peripheral blood stem cells are less in number than adipose tissue derived stem cells, but the have more growth factors with them in the plasma A combination of both sources of stem cells gives the best of both worlds. Both peripheral blood and adipose tissue stem cells are less painful to collect than bone marrow stem cells, and they yield more stem cells than bone marrow collection.
The Importance of Growth Factors in the Success of Your Stem Cell Therapy
There are many types of stem cells used in stem cell therapy today. The most common and safest is autologous stem cell therapy, which uses one’s own stem cells collected from one’s own adipose tissues and peripheral blood.
